Hello, I'm Jenny and I offer a number of services as an emotional well-being consultant.
1:1 sessions
Most often I am asked to help a child or teenager by their parents. We would have an initial consultation about the issues that are currently arising for your child and then I plan a series of sessions around these issues. Typically these are to do with one or more of the following:
These sessions will usually take place in your house.
Workshops for parents
These are running in Wilmslow. The next date is Saturday 16th April (10:00am - 12:00pm). To book please see the Eventbrite link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/help-your-child-with-their-big-emotions-tickets-22631080170

Fantastic training tonight! I found it very useful for both my professional role (speech and language therapist) and myrole as a mum. Jenny calmly and clearly explained about the neuroscience of emotions, how to build children'sawareness of emotions and practical strategies to use. She listened carefully to our experiences and offered insight. Her knowledge and experience shines through! Thank you.
Excellent session by Jenny. It was well structured to take us through a logical process behind gaining a better understanding of children's emotions - linking to neuroscience - and providing age-appropriate strategies to try to help them understand themselves more and to manage emotions.
This was truly valuable both as a mother and as a teacher. Thank you.
Continuous Professional Development
I also offer staff training on emotional well-being to support your learners. I am happy to offer an initial consultation regarding where we can work out what your children's needs are. Sessions focusing on social skills and friendship are designed with young learners in mind and will incorporate the use of puppets, storytelling and songs.
Staff well-being
I am shortly undertaking further training to be able to deliver staff well-being sessions. Please contact me to register your interest for these sessions when they become available.
I can also offer consultation on creating an ethos of well-being amongst staff.
About Me
I have worked with children and teenagers for my whole career. I started off as a primary school teacher and quickly found my place as a reception teacher where I had the pleasure of working with some of the most awesome children ever. It was a privilege to work with children at this time in their lives. During this time I became the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) of my school and undertook a Post Graduate qualification in Emotional Education. This molded my teaching practice to be very child-centred and it is with this approach that I undertake my current work, recognising children and teenagers for the individuals that they are and working with them to enable them to understand where they are emotionally and how they can make different choices to help themselves be happier.
I left teaching and set up my own business running Baby Sensory classes. This allowed me to work closely with parents and their babies at a crucial time in their development and furthered my understanding of the early years of a child's development.
I now work offering the services outlined above and find that children and teenagers respond well to my warm and caring personality. My aim is to help your child to feel happy in school and to reach their potential educationally. My aim is to also remove any emotional barriers to learning and to have happy children in school and at home.
I undertake supervision sessions with an Educational Psychologist to make sure that my work is independently regulated.
